Wondering where to park your boat and yourself for some Fourth of July fireworks and festivities?

Ivar’s Seafood Restaurants discontinued its popular July 4th fireworks show at Myrtle Edwards Park on Elliott Bay, but there are plenty of other places to take in the pyrotechnics in Seattle and elsewhere. Here are some of the displays going on around Puget Sound:

Central and South Sound

SEATTLE (A)
Chase Family 4th at Lake Union includes all-ages activities, food, a beer garden and fireworks at dusk synchronized to music. The event runs from noon to 11 p.m. at Gas Works Park, 2101 N. Northlake Way. Boaters can watch the fireworks from the south end of Lake Union; no mooring is allowed at the north end of the lake. The Montlake and Fremont channels will be closed at 9 p.m. and no boats will be allowed to enter the lake until the fireworks are over, so get there early. Also happening July 4th on Lake Union is the first day of the Center for Wooden Boats’ Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival. Held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 4 and 5, the festival includes demonstrations on topics such as rig tuning and varnishing, a 24-hour boat building contest and race, family boat building, visiting vessels and kids’ activities.

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND (B)
Fireworks start at dusk on Eagle Harbor. Boaters are advised to be mindful of rocks and sandbar at the harbor entrance. Low tide is at 11 p.m. July 4. During the day, the island hosts its Bainbridge Grand Old Fourth of July from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a street fair, live music, an antique car show and a parade. All events are in Winslow, a short walk from Eagle Harbor Marina and The Harbour Marina.

EDMONDS (C)
Fireworks are at dusk at the Edmonds Civic Center, 6th Avenue and Bell Street. Watch the fireworks from the water or walk to the center, about six blocks away. An Edmonds Kind of Fourth celebration includes a fun run starting at 10 a.m., a children’s parade, main parade and musical entertainment in the evening. Extra cool attraction: the parade marshall is none other than the legendary J.P. Patches, the Northwest’s iconic clown.

POULSBO (D)
Organizers thought they might have to cancel Poulsbo’s beloved annual Third of July fireworks over lack of sponsors, but fortunately that didn’t happen. The show is on again this year and will be set to music. Liberty Bay and the Port of Poulsbo Marina offer prime viewing and are sure to be packed. The Third of July celebration also includes food booths at Waterfront Park and a Navy band in Liberty Bay Park.

RENTON (E)
Fireworks start at 10 p.m. from a barge on Lake Washington. Boats can anchor out for the show but must leave afterward. The anchor area will be marked.

TACOMA (F)
Fireworks start just after 10 p.m. on a barge offshore from the Ruston waterfront in Commencement Bay. Tune in to radio stations Warm 106.9 FM or KLAY am 1180 for musical accompaniment. The day’s events also include the annual Tacoma Freedom Fair celebration, with live music, stand-up paddleboard races, a classic car show, food booths and a pole vaulting competition. The fair is held along the Ruston Way waterfront.

North Sound/Strait of Juan de Fuca

EVERETT (G)
Fireworks are at 10:20 p.m. over Port Gardner Bay. The city’s Colors of Freedom Festival, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., includes food, a beer and wine garden, children’s activities, music and a parade at Legion Memorial Park, 145 Alverson Blvd. The park is about two miles north of the 10th Street Marina and 12th Street Yacht Basin.

OAK HARBOR (H)
Fireworks start at dusk at Windjammer Park, 865 SE Barrington Dr., and will be visible from Oak Harbor Marina. A Navy jet flyover at 11 a.m. kicks off a parade, followed by a family carnival at the park with games, food and arts and crafts.

PORT TOWNSEND (I)
Fireworks are at dusk on Port Townsend Bay. The Port Townsend Schooner Co. is offering sails throughout the day and a select number of sports to watch the fireworks from the water. For information and reservations, click here.

San Juan Islands

ANACORTES (J)
Fireworks start at dusk over Fidalgo Bay. The display will be staged just south of Anacortes Marina and will be visible from there, as well as from Cap Sante Marina. The day also includes the annual Fourth of July Parade and Patriotic Program, which starts with an 11 a.m. parade, followed by kids’ games and food at Causland Memorial Park, 710 N. Ave.

FRIDAY HARBOR (K)
Fireworks start at 10:15 p.m. over Friday Harbor Marina. Other July 4th events include a parade at 10:30 a.m., a Pig War picnic, firehall lunch, an antique fire equipment and car show and a “rock the dock” street dance.

LOPEZ ISLAND (L)
Fireworks start at 10:30 p.m. over Fisherman Bay, visible from the Islands Marine Center Marina and Lopez Islander Resort Marina. Tune in to radio station KOLI 102.9 FM for music before and during the show. The day’s festivities start with a fun run and walk at 8:30 a.m. and include a used book sale, a parade and a salmon barbecue.

ROCHE HARBOR (M)
Fireworks start at 10:30 p.m.; boats at the Roche Harbor Marina and anchored out will have prime viewing. The resort’s 4th of July celebrations kick off with a fun run at 9 a.m., followed by a donut eating contest, marina games and a boat decorating contest, as well as live music Thursday through Sunday.

Other

PORT ANGELES (N)
Fireworks are at dusk at the city pier, at the north end of Lincoln Street on the waterfront. The best views will be from the city pier, which has about 15 finger floats, or out on Port Angeles Harbor. The day’s events also include food, crafts, live music and a parade.

WESTPORT (GRAYS HARBOR)
Fireworks start at 9 p.m. at Westport Marina.
